Shelby was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended the University of Florida, where she received her Bachelor’s in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Physiology. During her undergraduate studies, Shelby did extensive research on obsessive compulsive disorder, eating disorders and anxiety. After completing her Bachelor’s degree, she worked in a Dermatology practice for a Mohs surgeon in Jacksonville. She then attended Nova Southeastern University’s Physician Assistant Program in Jacksonville, Florida, where she served on student government as her class Historian. During her Physician Assistant Program, she did a rotation in urology. This is where she discovered her interest in urology and her passion for making her patients feel at ease when confronted with sensitive situations. She is very excited to be a part of the Advanced Urology team!

In her spare time, Shelby enjoys traveling, reading, and taking spin classes. She also loves spending time with her family, friends, and her dog Thor.
