TESTING
Urine is sent for urine culture to look bacteria. Imaging of the kidneys and bladder is performed via ultrasound.
MINOR PROCEDURE
You are sedated through an IV in our surgery center. Our proprietary algorithm is performed to clean your bladder and improve your symptoms. The procedure typically takes 30 minutes and you are sent home the same day.

1. Gleason 6 or 7 Prostate Cancer
2. 6 Cores or less
3. Prostate volume 60g or less
4. PSA less than 15
5. Cancer confined to prostate
HOW DOES HIGH INTENSITY FOCUSED ULTRASOUND WORK?
HIFU works through ultrasound energy that is targeted in specific areas of the prostate using ultrasound guidance. Heat generated from ultrasound energy precisely kills prostate cancer cells with minimal damage to surrounding tissues. This millimeter accuracy leads to great outcomes and minimal side effects.
WHERE IS HIFU PERFORMED?
HIFU is performed in our state of the art ambulatory surgery centers with general anesthesia. It takes approximately 3 hours and you are sent home the same day with a catheter to drain urine.

WHAT ARE SOME COMMON SIDE EFFECTS OF ADVANCED HIFU?
