Dr. Jason Lomboy is a Urologist who treats all problems in the field of urology, but has a special interest in enlarged prostate, overactive bladder and incontinence, erectile dysfunction, low testosterone, and kidney stone disease. He also specializes in the treatment of all urologic cancers, particularly kidney, bladder, and prostate cancer. He utilizes the latest technology to treat these conditions (including the da Vinci robotic surgical system) in order to deliver both good outcomes and a quick return to a better quality of life.
Dr. Lomboy believes that patients should always be the center of health care. Initially drawn to urology by its long-term relationships with patients, he strives to provide compassionate, individualized care to his patients. He focuses on treating the patient rather than the condition or disease state, and demonstrates this by developing individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s priorities, preferences, and goals.
After growing up in western North Carolina, he earned his undergraduate degree from The University of Virginia before attending medical school at The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. He then completed his general surgery internship and urologic surgery residency at The University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. While in residency, Dr. Lomboy received extensive training in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. He also presented research across many fields of urology at both the regional and national level.
In his free time, Dr. Lomboy enjoys playing golf, cheering on his favorite sports teams, and exploring new restaurants. Also an Eagle Scout, he enjoys exploring the outdoors in all fashions.
