Dr. Hemant Chaparala is a urologist trained in all aspects of general urology, but with a special interest in minimally invasive treatments for prostate cancer, kidney cancer, kidney stones, enlarged prostates and over-active bladder.
Dr. Chaparala received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University Medical School in 2016 and completed his Urologic Surgery residency at the Ohio State University in 2021. Dr. Chaparala then pursued advanced minimally-invasive training in laparoscopy, robotics, endourology, and focal therapy at the University of Florida. He was also trained in newer prostate cancer diagnostic techniques using high-resolution micro-ultrasound and transperineal prostate biopsy. Throughout his training, Dr. Chaparala has published and presented research at both the regional and national levels.
Dr. Chaparala focuses on patient-centered health care. He strives to provide compassionate, individualized care by tailoring the treatment plan to the patient based on each patient’s unique preferences and priorities.
In his free time, Dr. Chaparala enjoys traveling, hiking, photography, and exploring Atlanta’s restaurant scene.
