Dr. Michael F. Nordsiek
Dr. Michael F. Nordsiek received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from The University of Scranton where he graduated from the Honors Program and Magna Cum Laude. He earned his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he graduated in the top 20% of his class and received distinction for his leadership and academic achievements. He then completed his General Surgery Internship and Urologic Residency at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. He was elected Chief Resident in his final year of training. Upon completion of residency, he pursued further advanced training by completing a Fellowship in Urologic Oncology, specifically minimally invasive and robotic surgery, at Carolinas Medical Center/Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte, NC.
Dr. Nordsiek treats and specializes in all aspects of genitourinary surgery. His particular interests include penile prosthesis surgery, male incontinence, percutaneous treatment of complex kidney stone disease, minimally invasive treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and all aspects of urologic oncology (bladder, prostate, kidney, testes, penile, adrenal). While in residency, he received extensive training in penile prosthetics with one of the nation’s leaders in penile implant surgery. Utilizing minimally invasive and robotic techniques, patients with complex urologic conditions have a faster recovery and return to normal activities.
Dr. Nordsiek is known for his patient-centered approach, tailoring the therapy to the needs of the patient rather than tailoring the patient to the limits of the therapy. He is passionate about providing the highest level of care and the best outcomes for his patients.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Nordsiek participates in numerous outdoor activities, including golf, skiing, hiking, and running. He enjoys traveling and is a self-proclaimed foodie.
